Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Engineer/ Technician

Salary: Competitive (DOE) + Overtime
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm

Our close-knit team of 20 delivers trusted support to a loyal customer base and we’re looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Service & Emergency Lighting Technician to join us.

What You’ll Do
- Service and maintain fire alarm systems and emergency lighting systems
- Fault-find and carry out repairs efficiently
- Represent Smiths Fire with professionalism and a friendly approach
- Keep paperwork and admin up to date and accurate
- Take part in the on-call rota (1 week in 6) after probation
- Occasionally work away from home when required
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of experience in the fire alarm or emergency lighting industry
- Solid understanding of BS5839 and BS5266 standards
- Basic electrical knowledge (Level 2 qualification beneficial)
- Confident in fault finding and problem solving
- Professional under pressure, with a flexible attitude
- Keen to grow with the company
- Able to pass security screening
- Full UK driving licence (required)
