New Fire Safety Regulations Come Into Force

Effective October 1, businesses and building owners must ensure compliance with new fire safety legislation

Key changes include:

  • Fire risk assessment and fire safety arrangements must be recorded by all businesses, regardless of size or number of employees.
  • Increased requirements for cooperation and coordination between Responsible Persons in multi-occupied buildings or those with different occupiers and owners.
  • Residences with two or more domestic premises must provide residents with information on fire risks and safety measures.
