Happy birthday to us – Smiths Fire turning 40!
Can you believe that in September Smiths Fire will be entering its 40th year? Since we began trading in 1980 we’ve moved premises 4 times, arriving in our current Northfield Point home in April 2005.
Our industry has changed so much over those years, significantly with the introduction of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, bringing major legislation to England and Wales. As general awareness of Health & Safety regulations has grown, we’ve invested in our people, equipment and service to ensure that we are still, 40 years later, best placed to help our customers to protect their businesses from the risks of fire.
More than 90 years of proud service
We’re extremely proud of our long history and especially the loyalty of our team, many of whom have worked with Smiths’ Fire for a very long time. This month we particularly want to call out three employees who have each worked with us more than 30 years.
Their extensive knowledge and experience is a hugely valuable asset and we are so lucky and grateful to have them on the team. Here’s to many more years of Tina, Administrator (33 years service); Terry, Extinguisher Engineer (33 years service) and Matt, Service Manager (30 years service) looking after our customers and our business!
