Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Service Engineer / Technician
Salary £27,500 – £32,000 per annum (DOE) Overtime rates paid accordingly
Permanent / Full time, 8 hours, 8am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday

We are looking for an enthusiastic fire alarm service engineer to join our close-knit team of, across all divisions, twenty members of staff.
- Key Responsibilities-Servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems
- Servicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems
- Representing Smiths Fire in a friendly and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensuring that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary paperwork is accurately maintained
- Out of hours on call rota on a 1 in 6 week basis (after a 3 month probation period)
- Occasional working away from home may be required Experience / skills required
- Minimum 1 year experience in the fire alarm & emergency lighting industry
- Basic electrical circuit knowledge (Level 2 electrical qualifications beneficial)
- Working knowledge of BS5839 and BS5266
- Fault finding skills
- Have a flexible and willing approach to work
- Ability to operate effectively under pressure
- A genuine interest in company progression
- Be able to pass security screening Benefits of Employment

- All plant supplied for example drills, steps, ladders, heavy duty power tools
- Training available onsite and offsite, in-house and external, including E- learning platforms
- Travel time paid License / Certification
- A full, valid UK driving license
- Level 2 electrical qualification preferred
